Protect your skin with UV Rejecting Window Tint
As well known, UV Rays cause skin cancer and visible signs of aging. They can bounce off water and sand as well as penetrate through glass. I never saw anyone applying sunscreen before they drive to work, did you? But since you are in risk of UV damage even if you are in your car, UV Rejecting Window Tint is an effective solution.
A study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology revealed that nearly 53 percent of skin cancers in the US occur on the left, or drivers’ side of the body. The sun’s ultraviolet radiation is associated with most cases of skin cancer. This will affect one in five Americans over a lifetime. UV radiation reaches us in the form of shortwave UVB and long-wave UVA rays. Glass blocks only UVB effectively. That being said, we can help you protect your skin and your vehicles interior.
I don’t like dark tint!
If you are not a big fan of dark window tint because you already have a hard time seeing at night, don’t worry. UV Rejecting Window Tint does not need to be dark. Now a days, films are made in many different shades. The times where tint had to be dark are long gone. All our films have a range of shades available. Most States have legal limitations on the darkness of the tint, at least for the front windows and windshields. Film technologies have evolved so much over the years, often the brands with lighter shades offer more protection. If you are not sure, stop by our Studio and check out our Tint Display. This will allow you to see the film in person before you make your choice.
Which tint should I pick?
There are many things to look for in good window tint, but it depends on what you want to invest. If you do not daily drive your car, a UV rejecting entry level tint will probably do the trick. If you drive daily, we always recommend to get a high quality film that rejects UV rays as well as solar heat. The same goes for clients with kids. Their skin is even more sensitive to UV rays. The benefit of film with UV and Heat Rejection is, that it will keep it cooler in your car and protect you at the same time. All our films come with a lifetime warranty against fading, peeling and bubbling. To find out more about the films we carry, click here.
