Houston Tesla service
Tesla service in Houston, from routine care to repair.
A Houston Tesla service visit at EVS Motors starts with what your car is doing, not a menu. Here is what we handle, shop by shop, at 4105 Sherwood Ln. We are an independent shop.
Routine maintenance
Tire rotation ($100, recommended every 6,000 miles), brake fluid and coolant checks, cabin filters, and our 96-point pre-warranty expiration inspection ($350). A Tesla has no engine oil or spark plugs, so routine care is tires, alignment, brakes and suspension checks.
Brake service
Inspection, maintenance and repair of the complete braking system, including pads, rotors and brake fluid checks. On the Cybertruck we also install big brake kits. Tesla’s regenerative braking means pads often last long, so a squeal or pulsation is worth checking early.
Electrical, A/C & battery diagnostics
$185/hr diagnostics for 12-volt battery and low-voltage faults, charging and charge-port problems, A/C compressor and thermal/coolant valve faults, sensor faults, door handles, window regulators, panoramic sunroofs, and high-voltage battery or drive-unit warnings.
Tires, rotation & alignment
Leverless mounting on a Corghi Artiglio 500, Road Force balancing, and imaging alignment on a Hofmann Geoliner 660 with Tesla steering calibration afterward. Prices and details.
Suspension
Clunks, creaks and worn parts fixed, including rear camber arms for Model 3, Y, S and X. For ride height and stance, see Tesla suspension upgrades.
Accessories & upgrades
Wheels, PPF, tint, wraps and accessory installation, done by the same team. See all services and Cybertruck upgrades.
We don’t do engine or transmission repair: Teslas don’t have either. For collision damage we are a Tesla Approved Collision Center. For Tesla warranty and recall work, go to Tesla.

Which shop?
Tesla Service Center vs. independent Tesla repair shop.
Tesla Service Center
Tesla’s own service centers handle factory warranty and recall work. Repairs covered by Tesla’s warranty are done by Tesla or a Tesla-authorized facility, and Tesla decides what it covers.
EVS Motors, independent Tesla repair shop
EVS Motors is an independent shop, not Tesla’s own service center. We are a Tesla Approved Collision Center. We handle out-of-warranty Tesla repairs, $185/hr diagnostics, 96-point pre-warranty inspections ($350), 12-volt and high-voltage electrical faults, A/C and thermal systems, suspension, control arms, brakes, tires and 4-wheel alignment ($285)—and you get the fix and the price before we start.
Warranty ending soon? Book a Tesla pre-warranty expiration inspection ($350) first.
“I had a minor sensor issue which was causing major problems with driving my Tesla. Called multiple places including all Tesla service centers locally to try to get it fixed. EVS was the only place to get me in the same day and get me going by 3:30 p.m. …”
“I accidentally broke the charge port door on my Model 3. They ordered the part and replaced it for me quickly and on a Saturday. I highly recommend EVS for all your Tesla needs.”

Collision repair
Tesla Approved Collision Center.
Had an accident? EVS Motors is a Tesla Approved Collision Center, Tesla’s name for an approved body shop. Every repair meets factory specs or better, and we work with your insurance company from estimate to delivery.

Tesla body shop
Tesla collision repair: what to expect.
Plain answers to what Tesla owners ask us most after an accident.
What a Tesla Approved body shop is
Tesla Approved Collision Center is Tesla’s name for an approved body shop, and not every body shop is approved. EVS Motors is. Every repair is done with factory-spec methods and equipment, to factory specs or better.
Scans before and after
We run a diagnostic scan before the repair and again after it.
Cameras and sensors
Teslas rely on cameras and sensors for Autopilot and safety features. After a repair we calibrate them.
Genuine Tesla parts
We use genuine Tesla parts on Tesla repairs.
Factory paint match
We match your Tesla’s factory paint, so the repaired panels blend in with the rest of the car.
Your choice of shop
Your insurer can suggest a shop, but in Texas they can’t make you use one (Texas Insurance Code §1952.301). On a covered claim, your deductible is usually the only thing you pay at pickup.
We handle the insurer
We send photos and the estimate to your adjuster, follow up on approvals and ask for a supplement if we find hidden damage once panels are off. Have a claim number? We can pick up your car. We don’t offer loaners.
Parts first
If your Tesla is drivable, keep driving it while we order parts. We call or email you when they arrive, then get straight to work.
Alignment after the work
Suspension work usually needs an alignment afterward. We align in-house to factory or performance spec, including Tesla steering calibration: $285 for 4 wheels, $171 for 2.
Limited Lifetime Collision Repair Guarantee
Covers metal, paint and labor on the collision repairs on your final invoice. It covers collision repair work only and stays only with the owner who paid for the work; it doesn’t transfer. Replacement parts carry their maker’s warranty. Rust, rock chips, misuse, repairs someone else altered, new damage and wear items aren’t covered. See the full terms.

Questions
Tesla repair shop & Houston Tesla service questions.
Is EVS Motors the Tesla Service Center in Houston?
EVS Motors is an independent shop, not Tesla’s own service center. We are a Tesla Approved Collision Center.
Can an independent Tesla repair shop fix my Tesla?
Yes. Suspension, control arms, brakes, 4-wheel alignment, tires, A/C and thermal systems, charging problems, door handles, window regulators, sunroofs and electrical faults are all repairs we do here. EVS Motors is an independent Tesla repair shop and a Tesla Approved Collision Center, and we have repaired and upgraded more than 5,000 Teslas.
How much is Tesla diagnosis at EVS Motors?
EVS Tesla diagnosis is $185/hr, and most diagnosis takes about one hour. We find the cause and give you the fix and the price before starting any repair.
How soon can you see my car?
Collision-related cars can generally be seen the same day; for other issues, send an inquiry or appointment request so a representative can respond with an appointment. A quote request isn’t a booked appointment, and EVS calls or emails to confirm a time, usually within one business day.
Do I have to pay to book?
An estimate is made, and once the client accepts it, it becomes an invoice and EVS collects a $100 deposit. The deposit goes toward the bill and is fully refundable up to 24 hours before the appointment.
Do you offer loaner cars?
EVS does not offer loaner cars; we work with nearby rental companies like Enterprise to point clients toward a rental, and for collision repairs with an insurance claim number, we can pick up your car.
My Tesla is still under warranty. Should I come to you?
Repairs covered by Tesla’s warranty are done by Tesla or a Tesla-authorized facility, and Tesla decides what it covers. Items the warranty doesn’t cover, like tires, brake pads, tire rotation ($100) and alignment ($285), we can fix here. Warranty ending soon? Book our 96-point Tesla pre-warranty expiration inspection ($350) first.
Do Teslas need oil changes?
No. A Tesla has no engine, so there is no engine oil to change. Routine care is mostly tire rotation ($100 every 6,000 miles), 4-wheel alignment ($285), cabin air filter, wiper blades, brake fluid checks and suspension inspections.
How much will my Tesla repair cost?
Diagnosis ($185/hr), 96-point pre-warranty inspection ($350), 4-wheel alignment ($285), tire rotation ($100), tire installation ($285 for 4) and Tesla rear camber arms ($678 installed on Model 3/Y; $1,449 installed on Model S/X) are listed on this page. Other repairs are quoted after we inspect the car, and we tell you the price before we start. Extra work needs your OK first.
Do you fix collision damage too?
Yes. EVS Motors is a Tesla Approved Collision Center, and we work with your insurance company from estimate to delivery. Start with a collision estimate, or read about our Tesla collision repair in Houston.
Can I choose my own body shop for a Tesla insurance claim?
Yes. Your insurer can suggest a shop, but in Texas they can’t make you use one (Texas Insurance Code §1952.301). Tell them you’re taking your Tesla to EVS Motors, and we work with your insurer from estimate to delivery.
Which Tesla models do you work on?
Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck. We also repair Rivians as an official Rivian Service Partner.
Do I need an alignment after suspension work?
Usually, yes. Tesla rear camber arms always come with a 4-wheel alignment, and most other suspension work needs one too. Alignment is $285 for 4 wheels on stock suspension ($350 aftermarket) or $171 for 2.
What does your collision repair guarantee cover?
Metal, paint and labor on the collision repairs on your final invoice. It covers collision repair work only and stays only with the owner who paid for the work, so it doesn’t transfer to a new owner. Replacement parts carry their maker’s warranty. Read the full terms.
Do you calibrate Autopilot cameras and sensors after a repair?
Yes. We run diagnostic scans before and after the repair and calibrate the cameras and sensors that Autopilot and the safety features rely on, using genuine Tesla parts and factory paint matching.
What Houston Tesla service do you offer?
Diagnosis of warnings and faults ($185/hr), 96-point pre-warranty inspections ($350), 12-volt and low-voltage electrical problems, charging and charge-port problems, high-voltage battery and drive-unit diagnostics, A/C and thermal system repair, control arms and air suspension, brakes, tire rotation ($100), leverless mounting, Road Force balancing and 4-wheel alignment ($285), and collision repair with ADAS calibration.
What equipment do you use for Tesla tires and alignment?
A leverless Corghi Artiglio 500 tire changer, a Hunter Road Force Elite balancer and a Hofmann Geoliner 660 imaging aligner. On a Tesla, we finish an alignment by calibrating the steering angle. See Tesla tires and alignment.
